Dear Barney and Family,

We are deeply moved to hear of June's passing.

June was the model of a loving Christian woman and one who was tender-hearted toward everyone. 

We have good memories of June's love for the brethren in the congregation in Pacifica.  She was a good cook and offered tips and advice on cooking techniques while setting up in the Pedro Point Firehouse.  The favorite that everyone in the congregation loved was her chocolate pudding dessert.  All the kids gathered around June as if she was the pied-piper when she brought in this delicious dessert.  Today, our recipe card at home hand-written by June, is titled, "June Roe's Dessert." On special occasions, and even last week, I was asked to make "June Roe's Dessert"!  

I especially have fond memories of June teaching me to crochet.  Years later so many afghans, scarves, and sweaters, have been made for my family and friends thanks to June….and The crochet lessons continue to be passed on!  One day a week for about a year, the teachers in the Mesa School District met with me in the cafeteria to learn to crochet and work on crochet projects.  Lots of these hats, blankets, mittens, and scarves were donated for special needs.

There are so many encouraging words that June has said to us.  Her love and kindness have impacted our lives. Thanks be to God for his blessing in sharing June  with us.

The world will not be the same without June.

Our precious sister-in-Christ, June.  From the day my family walked into the Brentwood church of Christ and met you and Barney, we knew how special and genuine you both were (are).  You made us feel like we were already a part of the family, church family, and in general and I will never forget that wonderful feeling, especially in a time we so needed a new church home.  From lunches at your home, to the church potlucks, fellowship's and worship services, those were great times we will cherish until God takes us home.  I cried when I read the email from brother Greene and then brother Barney... not for you, but for Barney, for your family and congregation, for my family...how much you mean to all of us...the smiles you put on our faces.  God did not only bless Barney and your family, He blessed all of us with you.  You were the example of how a wife is to be to Barney, how a sister is to be to her siblings, how a mother is to be to her children, how a grandmother is to be to her grandchildren, how a friend is to be to her friends, how a sister-in-Christ is to be to her brethren, and how a Christian is to walk with Jesus... you didn't talk the life God wants His Children to live and lead, you lead it, you walked it!  Thank you my sister-in-Christ for your precious example.  I love you so much and will miss you dearly.

Mom...all those times I would lay in bed waiting to hear you pop opened your coke, so I could come out and tell you I was thirsty, I just want you to know...it was never the coke, it was the fact that you would always let me climb up in your lap, wrap your loving arms around me, rock me and sing sweet lullabies...I want to thank you for the last 3 weeks of allowing me to lay by your side, wrap my arms around you and sing sweet lullabies...I only pray that it was as comforting to you, as you have always been to me...I will forever miss the sound of your voice and the touch of your hands...

Words can't express how I feel or how much I miss mom already...I will feel her loss every day...I love you mom!

Mama was one of the most selfless, genuine and caring people I have ever known.  She loved everyone and always made sure to let them know.  She loved to hold hands, and I will always miss feeling her hand grab mine tightly knowing she was about to tell me how special I am to her and how loved.  Her sweet voice will sound in my heart forever, and I can almost taste her delicious cooking, especially peach cobbler, biscuits, chicken, gravy and the cheese sandwiches and pickles she would fix for me after school.  Love you so much Mama!!  You will never be forgotten <3

All my memories of Aunt June are sweet ones. I will never forget her smile, her kindness and her love. She was very special and was a blessing to so many. I'm very glad she was part of my life.

How you will be missed.  How greatly you were loved.  Thank you for all the kindness and love you showed to so many, including me and my family.  I will always cherish every memory I have of you.  You added so much joy to our family.  How blessed we all were to have you in our lives.

May you rest in peace and God's loving care my dear aunt.

The first time I met June, I knew she was a very special lady.  To share my name with someone so special is an honor for me.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

June, she was my Aunt June. She was always so sweet and I remember these cookies she made that were the best, and that when I tried they weren't the same. It was her special touch. I remember getting birthday cards every year for a long time. Her giving and warm heart I will truly miss. A very special lady Aunt June was. I'm comforted to know she is in paradise now and that I will see her again someday.

People often associate a mother-in-law in a dreaded, negative way....but June was the most loving and welcoming mother-in-law to me.  She always made me feel accepted, supported and never judged as a young wife and mother.  She has always been a true "angel" in the past,the present and now for eternity.  I am blessed to have known her...

Precious Mama was one of the best people I've ever known. Her caring, loving heart made everyone who knew her love her. She was an amazing grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be in our hearts forever. Words can't describe how much we will miss her.

What a wonderful thought to know that a sweet friend is waiting and watching for us. Sadness gives way to happiness when I think of her smile! She made the cutest tiny biscuits for holli and I one Sunday when we came over for lunch. Her hugs and kisses Sunday morning will be missed.

A wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend.  I know that June was a very special woman and loved so very much.   Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family at this difficult time.
