In loving memory of M. Ellen Greene. A wonderful and generous mother, grandmother and sister, Ellen passed peacefully in her Discovery Bay home September 12 at the age of 73.
She leaves behind three adoring sons and their wives, Zach and Bobbi, Matt and Magda, and Mike and Kamila. Her granddaughters, Nicolle, Katie, Nadia, Sophie and Maycee. She also leaves behind two sisters, Kelly Marvel and Casey Sellentin, and a community of volunteer workers with which she was so proud to be involved - particularly the Byron-Delta Lions Club, East Contra Costa Historical Society and the Girlfriends Group. Ellen's husband, Charles "Jim" Greene passed away three years ago.
Services and burial will be held Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Union Cemetery in Byron, California. A celebration of life will immediately follow at her home, 4990 Discovery Point, in Discovery Bay.
Flowers may be sent to the cemetery the day of the service. Donations in her name can be made to Melanoma Cancer Research.
