Marilyn Joyce Nilsson

Marilyn was born and raised in Richmond CA on December 4, 1932 to Emily Fowler and Earl Charles Remington. Marilyn had 1 sister (Eleanor Redding), 5 children (Sharon Hagle, Michelle Carpenter, Renee Berdollt, Danielle Berdollt and Erik Nilsson), 8 grandchildren (James Meskowskis, Trina Harbaugh, Darcel Jacquez, Patricia Pilkington, Danielle Wright, Chad Malone, Elizabeth Hagle and Nolan Nilsson) and 12 great grandchildren. Marilyn's beloved husband Grant Nilsson, her parents, her sister, and her daughters Renee and Danielle preceded her in death.

Marilyn enjoyed traveling, music, art and sports but she enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family and friends. Marilyn was blessed with witnessing the birth of her youngest grandson who kept her entertained during her final days. She was also happy to have the opportunity to meet her youngest great-grandson before her passing. Marilyn was known as the backbone of her family and she will be truly missed.

A Celebration of Life Remembrance Gathering will be held on Tuesday February 21, 2012 from 1:00pm-5:00pm at Brentwood Funeral Home, 839 1st St. Brentwood CA 94513.
