Miniver Babo

Miniver Babo, 77, of Brentwood California transitioned into eternal rest on January 23, 2022 in Brentwood California, with her family by her side.

Mini was born on December 31, 1944 to Samuel & Henrietta Leleiwi in Honolulu, Hawaii. She met the love of her life, Paul Babo, while he was stationed in Hawaii as a Marine. They married on April 20, 1963. Together they created a beautiful life and had two sons, Robert Kalani & Michael Kaluna before moving to the mainland and ultimately found a home in San Jose California.

Mini worked as a waitress for several years before changing careers to an Inventory Specialist. As a family they enjoyed camping, dirt bike riding & the beautiful culture of her family. Later her and Paul would take up sailing in the Oakland Estuary and SF Bay. Soon her grandchildren would become her number one hobby.

Mini is preceded in death by Michael Kaluna Babo, son; Vena Munos, sister; Momi Andrade, sister; Samuel Leleiwi Jr, brother; Paul Babo, Beloved Husband.

Mini is survived by her son Robert Kalani Babo & daughter in law Denice Babo, sisters, Verna Medeiros, Rita Winchester and Yolanda Griffin & brother in law, Donny Griffin. Her grandchildren, Kayla Kameleaukai Babo, Kara Kauiokalani & Jordan Zerbini, Kyle Keahekamakani & Christina Babo, Kole Ka’ano’i Babo; her great granddaughter, Ka’alekai Babo; and her many nieces and nephews whom she loved so much.

The Babo family will receive family and friends for viewing and services on February 15th 2022 at 10:am at Brentwood Funeral Home 839 1st St., Brentwood Ca 94513
