Norma Jean Sooter

Norma “Jean” Sooter passed away on December 20, 2022, at 90 years of age after a short illness. Jean was born on September 2, 1932, in Hayti, Missouri. She was the second eldest of nine children. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Glenn Sooter, and four of her children, Mike, Debbie, Gail, and Kevin. She is survived by her daughter, Kelley Williams, and her stepchildren, Stephen Sooter and Debra Hill-Pena, eleven grandchildren, and many great and great-great grandchildren, as well as an extensive group of family and friends, and her loving dog, Pixie. Jean worked for many years as a lab technician at Delta Memorial Hospital in Antioch before retiring. Services will be held at Brentwood Funeral Home, 839 First Street, Brentwood, California at 10:30 AM on Monday, January 9, 2023, with a burial service following at Union Cemetery. A celebration of life reception will be held after the burial service at 1730 Corte Vista Street, Brentwood, CA.
