

Patty passed away unexpectedly in her home on 7 May 2013 at the age of 69. She grew up in Richmond and earned a degree in Psychology from California State University Long Beach. Patty was a survivor of breast cancer and dedicated herself to awareness and survivors groups, retired from TRW, volunteered for the auxiliary at Sutter Delta Medical Center, worked as a substitute in the Oakley School District, a member of the Oakley Senior Center, a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. She had a zeal for life that she gave to everyone that knew her. Patty was a true gift and she will be missed every day.
Patty is survived by her daughter Alana Pompa, her son Scott Jepson, her grandson’s Derreck and Aaron (Pompa), and her sister Shirley Groves.
Her family had a celebration of Patty’s life on Wednesday, 15 May 2013 at the home of her niece, Kimberly Wallace in Discovery Bay. She was set to rest between her parents, Clyde and Louise Splain at the Paradise Cemetery on Friday, 17 May 2013.
