Richard Paul Lang

Richard is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sandra; son Richard P. (Patty) Lang Jr., daughter Tamara (Ed) Simms, and son James (Alicia) Lang. Six beautiful grandchildren, Isabellajane Lang, Alexander Simms, Ashley Simms, Owen Lang, Zachary Lang, and Charlotte Lang. Siblings, John Lang, JoAnn Davis, Gary Hegerle, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, John W. Lang and Florence M. Lang, and his siblings, Arthelia and Herbert Hegerle.

Richard was born on August 21, 1946, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to John Walter Lang and Florence Marie Glasser Lang. Richard proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1967. He worked as a sales manager in the agricultural manufacturing industry before retiring in 2005, allowing him more time to do fun things with his grandkids, such as taking walks, golfing, fishing, visiting the flying field, and attending their special events.

Richard was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was known for his friendliness, sense of humor, and loyalty. He enjoyed traveling, playing his guitar, flying R/C airplanes, playing table tennis, and spending time with his family.

As a United States Air Force Veteran, the funeral service will be held at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California, on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 10:30 am. No reception to follow.
