Russell Keith Hirayama, age 68, was born on September 30th, 1954, in Exeter, CA to Tsugio “Truck” and Chiyoko Hirayama. He passed away unexpectedly in San Francisco, CA on Thursday, September 21, 2023. Russ was raised in Lindsay, CA where he was active in many sports and clubs. After graduating from Lindsay High School in 1972 he continued his education and graduated from UC Davis, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. Following his time in college, Russ pursued a career in the Title industry, where he worked for the past 45 years with no plans to retire. Russ enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, golfing, fishing, gardening, and enjoying a good cigar.
Russ was preceded in death by his parents, Tsugio and Chiyoko as well as his brother Ross. He is survived by his wife Jill, daughter Kari Sarantakis (Robert), son Scott Hirayama (Karla), grandsons Madden Hirayama and Christo Sarantakis, granddaughters Tatum Hirayama and Mila Sarantakis. He is also survived by his three siblings, Stanley Hirayama, Susan Montez, and Becky Bataille as well as many nieces and nephews.
