Steven Allen Banta passed away on Wednesday, his 55th birthday, from heart failure.
Steve was born in San Francisco and graduated from Serramonte High School, Daly City. Prior to a back injury, he drove trucks for over 20 years. As a young man he was an active member of Mission Chapter Order of DeMolay and Pacific DeMolay Association. He enjoyed listening to music, tending to his vegetable garden, watching t.v. and was a big Steelers fan.
Steve is survived by his devoted wife, Kim; loving children, Ashley of Long Beach, and Tyler of Brentwood; son of Janet Banta (Roseville); sister Sharon Risso (Mike) of Roseville; brother Patrick Banta (Susan) of San Rafael; 5 nephews and 3 nieces.
Friends and Family are invited to a funeral service on Tuesday May 10, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Golden Hills Community Church, 2401 Shady Willow Lane, Brentwood.
