Mrs. Curtis was born March 22, 1934 in Shop Springs, TN, daughter of the late Hugh Elliott Bass and Lyda Hamilton Bass.
Anita was a devoted wife to her husband of fifty seven years, Jack Curtis and a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to spend her spare time as a volunteer for the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home. Anita was also a true and faithful servant of the Lord. She was a proud, active, and long standing member of Forest Hills Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for a number of years. Her greatest passion was quality time spent with her grandchildren and family. She enjoyed tending to her gardens, listening to music, reading and traveling with her best friends.
She is survived by her husband; daughter, Angie (Chris) Collins; son, Greg (Colleen) Curtis; sister, Lynda (Harold) Patton; brother, Hugh Elliott (Joanne) Bass; grandchildren, Ellie, Aubrey and Joe Collins, Katie, Samantha and Jack Curtis.
The family would like to give a special thanks to their home health care nurse, the staff and caregivers of Brighton Gardens and Guardian Hospice for the wonderful care given to Anita.
