Beverly Graham Roberts, dedicated mother, grammy, sister, and friend, passed away on April 5, 2025 at the age of 71. Born on June 12, 1953 in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late J.K. and Audrey Graham. Beverly is survived by her daughter Erin (C.J.), granddaughters Vera and Elsie, siblings Judy (Fred), Carol (Frank), Ken (Sue) Gary (Julee), Sue (Joe), Doug (Andrea), and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
The middle of 7 children, Beverly enjoyed a happy childhood in Albany and graduated from Milne High School. She went on to attend Elmira College, majoring in Elementary Education, her lifelong passion. Beverly began her teaching career in upstate New York, where she met a dentist named Bill Roberts in the line at the opening of Star Wars. She thought he was cute, made herself a dental appointment, and the rest was history. Beverly and Bill were married for 44 amazing years.
Shortly after getting married, Beverly and Bill moved to Nashville, TN, where they had one daughter, Erin.
To say that Beverly loved teaching would be an understatement. She delighted in choosing chapter books, writing class plays, organizing and participating in service projects, and coaching cross country. Most of all, she adored her students and colleagues. She epitomized the quote, “Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”
Always one to stay active, Beverly was an avid runner, running daily and completing 5 marathons across the country. She also enjoyed walks with friends, and bike rides with Bill and Erin. Other interests included reading (voraciously), travelling near and far with loved ones, and spending as much time outside as possible, especially if it was by the pool.
Those who loved Beverly will dearly miss her bright smile, infectious positivity, and joyful laughter. She loved her friends and family fiercely and wholeheartedly. She lived every moment of life to the fullest.
To celebrate her life, a visitation will be held at Brentwood-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home on Saturday, July 5 from 3:00-6:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at the same location on Sunday July 6 at 10:00 AM. St. Jude was an organization that Beverly donated to throughout her life. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you would consider making a donation in remembrance of Beverly.
For those requiring hotel accommodations, a block of rooms has been reserved by Beverly’s family at the Brentwood Hilton Garden Inn for the nights of July 4th, 5th, and 6th. Guests may book for one, two, or all three nights. Please use the link below to make a reservation.
