Billy Gene Stewart

Billy Gene Stewart age 93, of Franklin, Tennessee and formerly of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021. Billy was born April 14, 1928 in Portageville, Missouri to the late Jay T. and Katie Pauline Rhodes Stewart. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by son, Ronnie Gene Stewart and daughter, Katy Juanita Stewart, siblings, Avon Stewart, J. T. Stewart, John Stewart, Wayne Sutton, Betty Blankenship and Pauline Riley.

He is survived by his wife of over 75 years, Juanita Heitman Stewart of Franklin, Tennessee; sons, Ricky (Jeanie) Stewart of Maury County, Tennessee and Billy Gene Stewart, II of Memphis, Tennessee; grandchildren, Wendy (Tom) Shumate, of Franklin, Tennessee, Sunny (Bryan) Krchmar, of Estero, Florida, Matthew (Caitlin) Smith of Memphis, Tennessee, Daniel Smith of Memphis, Tennessee; five great grandchildren, Grayson, Adalyn, Laura Beth, Dylan and Conner; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Billy was a Certified Public Accountant for the US Postal Service for over 40 years. He was a long time member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Memphis, Tennessee. Billy was a comptroller for the Shelby County Criminal Court Clerk's Office for twenty years.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held two o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Brentwood-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.

A Graveside Service will be held at eleven o'clock in the morning on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Portageville Cemetery, Co Rd 204, Portageville, MO 63873.
