With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Catherine Ripani, who departed this world on May 14, 2025, just after celebrating her 79th birthday and Mother’s Day with her all of her children present. Catherine's remarkable life was defined by her unwavering love for family, her extraordinary spirit, and her profound faith.
Catherine was the beloved wife of Albert Ripani, her high school sweetheart, with whom she shared 56 beautiful years of marriage. Their enduring partnership was a testament to devotion and commitment. Albert had the privilege of sleeping beside her on her final night, before she passed away peacefully in the morning.
As the cherished matriarch of her family, Catherine leaves behind her loving children: Chris (married to Jayne), Sarah (married to John Conway), Ben (married to Shannon), and Andrew (married to Bethany). Her legacy continues through her adored grandchildren: Eli, Luke, and Ali (children of Chris and Jayne); Cooper and Quentin (children of Sarah and John); Nora and Annabel (children of Ben and Shannon); and Alfie and Louie (children of Andrew and Bethany).
Catherine has reunited with her deceased loved ones, including her mother Geraldine, father Paul, and brothers Frank and Roger. She is survived by her siblings Paul, Jerry, Anne, and Elizabeth who will cherish her memory.
Those fortunate enough to know Catherine will remember her strong personality balanced perfectly with her loving spirit. Catherine was a devout Catholic whose faith formed the cornerstone of her life. She attended Mass faithfully, found solace in prayer during life's challenges, and lived the Gospel through her actions of kindness and service to others. Her unwavering trust in God's plan brings peace to those who loved her, knowing that she has been welcomed into the Lord's embrace.
Catherine's faith manifested in her everyday life—in the way she nurtured her family, in her generous hospitality, and in how she faced life's difficulties with grace and resilience. She instilled these spiritual values in her children and grandchildren, leaving behind not just memories but a living legacy of faith.
She was renowned for her culinary talents, her dedication as a mother and wife, her devotion as a grandmother, and her strength as a woman who touched countless lives. Catherine found joy in creating meals that brought her family together around the table, where love and laughter were always the most important ingredients.
