Clinton B. Newton

Clinton B. Newton, Jr. passed away peacefully on January 24, 2019, at the age of 91. He was born in Lyons, GA on December 13, 1927. He was a graduate of Georgia Tech where he was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity. He was a Navy Veteran in the Korean War. He later joined the Navy Reserve and after a total of 20 years of service he retired with the rank of Commander.

His loving wife Pat Fowler Newton precedes him in death. Clint is survived by his daughters Kim (Jim) Poole and Karen (Steve) Blake and his grandchildren: Paige Camille Poole and Matthew Clinton Blake.

Visitation will be held on Saturday January 26, 2019, from 2:00-3:30 at Brentwood Baptist Church with service and reception to follow at 3:30. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a non-profit dear to Clint’s heart. Autism Education & Therapy Center, 6515 Holt Road, Nashville, TN 37211.
