Deborah Prince Wade, 67, of Antioch, Tennessee. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee on January 29, 1953. She is preceded in death by her father, Archie Edward Prince, Jr. and her mother, Bonnye Lunn Knight.

She married Herbert Wade, Jr. on March 18, 1978 at West Nashville Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Nashville, Tennessee.

Mrs. Wade graduated from Hillwood High School in 1971 and received her Bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University in 1975. She then received her Master’s degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Reading Instruction from Middle Tennessee State University in 1980. Mrs. Wade began her teaching career at Kings Lane Elementary School before transferring to Fall Hamilton. She spent the remainder of her 37-year teaching career at Cole Elementary School where she taught kindergarten and first grade.

Mrs. Wade was full of life, always ready to share a thought with a good “Deborah-ism” comeback. She never missed a hair or nail appointment and loved spending her free time with her family and friends. Mrs. Wade loved to travel out West to see the mountains and enjoyed relaxing at the beach. She adored girls’ days and shopping at craft fairs. Due to her love of true-life crime novels, Mrs. Wade envisioned herself as a detective in her next life.

Deborah spent many years as a member of Gilroy Church of Christ, where she was baptized, and then later joined Antioch Church of Christ with her husband, Herb, and daughters.

She is survived by her husband, Herbert, of Antioch and daughters Lindsay (Gene) Holt of Smyrna and Laura (Brent) Dalton of Beratzhausen, Germany. She was also a loving grandmother to Lily and Maggie Holt and Molly Rose and Cooper Dalton. In addition, she is survived by her brother Archie Prince, III (Barbara) of Brunswick, GA.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from three until seven o'clock in the evening on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Gilroy Church of Christ, 13126 Old Hickory Boulevard, Antioch, TN 37013.
