Francis V. Jackovich, Jr., a proud U.S. Navy Corpsman veteran, passed away after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Port Jervis, New York, and enlisted in the military in 1976, dedicating his service to caring for others.
Following his military service, Fran pursued higher education, earning an associate’s degree from Macomb College in Michigan. His passion for learning continued as he became certified as an RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist), CBET (Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician), and EET (Electronic Engineering Technician), along with earning credentials in Computer Programming and Systems Design.
Fran was a man of many interests. He loved dogs, had a lifelong passion for computers, and found great joy in working in his yard. His warmth, intelligence, and deep care for others left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Anne Jackovich; his sister, Mary Connelly of Port Jervis, New York; and his brothers, James Jackovich and John Jackovich.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jane (Kinney) Jackovich; father, Francis V. Jackovich, Sr.; sister, Jane Ann Jackovich of Snowmass, Colorado; and brother-in-law, Michael Connelly of Port Jervis.
