Jason and I were in school together from K-12th, and when I think back to then, I remember him always being so kind, and I felt relaxed in his presence. Rest in peace, Jason. My sincerest condolences to Betsy and all of his family and friends.

So saddened to hear this news. Although we haven’t crossed paths in 20 yrs, I cherish our time spent on the soccer field as kids (Kickers) and teenagers (MFC & White Station), and can still picture James & Tricia cheering him (and all of us) on from the sideline. Jason Sloan was loved by all. Gone too soon. Rest in peace, friend.

I wish to extend my deepest condolences to Jason's family, friends, and everyone else whose life he touched. Although our paths did not cross in later years, we shared countless hours together on the soccer pitch in Memphis as youngsters. He consistently played with outstanding intensity and skill that was much admired by his coaches, teammates and spectators. Simply put, we were always grateful to have him on our team. I know that many, including those who knew him in other ways, must have felt similarly. Yes, his smile brought cheer to hearts back then, too.

Jason and I had the best times in high school and on the soccer fields for White Station. He was so much fun to be around, he had an easy going personality and never seemed to be having a bad time. He brought so much joy to my life that trying to put into words would not do Jason justice. On the soccer field, he was an unbelievable competitor that would never back down. His love for life, laughter and unique personality will never be forgotten.

Sending my deepest condolences to Betsy and Jason’s loving family.

Rest in peace my friend.

All the love - Jed

I went to high school with Jason. We sat together during lunch senior year. He had me laughing almost every day. We had many of the same friends and would see each other out all the time. Had some great times together. My prayers go out to his family.

He did have a dry sense of humor, but I always got his jokes. He was a super nice guy. I'm going to miss that guy. I didn't talk with him much, but when I did we always found something to talk about.

It has been years since our paths crossed. Jason and I grew up together on soccer fields in Memphis. From the Kickers to Memphis Futbol Club, he was always a great competitor and honest and loving guy. Shocked to see this news sent to me. My heart felt sympathy to Betsy and his parents Mr James and Mrs Tricia.
