

Jessie Mildred (Maudie) Donoho - Age 94 of Brentwood, and previously of Macon Co., TN passed away on October 30, 2011. Preceded in death by parents, Wayne Wright and Ona Lee Smith; husband, William (Bill) James Donoho, Sr. of 55 years; and son, William James (Jimmy) Donoho, Jr.; and 14 brothers and sisters. Survived by grandchildren, Allison (Rod) Roston and James (Grace) Donoho; great-grandchildren, Stone Roston, Sophie Roston, Sutton Roston, Sam Roston, Steele Roston, and Aviella Donoho; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Randy and Kennette Sweeney, and Beverly Donoho. Fond reflections of Mildred's life begin with how she enjoyed her time spent as a cashier early in her life when her husband was in the Navy. She and her husband, Bill, will always be remembered for being instrumental in bringing racing to the Nashville area by creating and running the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway for over 30 years. She was also a generous benefactor to area children and local churches. Mildred was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, avid gardener, excellent cook, lover of animals, friend to many, faithful servant of her Lord, and will be deeply missed. The family will receive friends between five o'clock and eight o'clock this evening and again one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at Brentwood-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held in her honor at eleven o'clock the morning of November 2, 2011 at Brentwood-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home with James Donoho officiating. Interment to follow at Anderson & Son Memorial Park in Lafayette, TN. Those serving as Active Pallbearers will consist of Rod Roston, Stone Roston, Randy Sweeney, Donald Donoho, Jerry Hooper, and Ken Binkley. The family would like to extend a special thanks to devoted caregivers: Joan Kasbowski, Jessie Hamby, Carole Dollar, Janice Maples, and the loving staff of Willowbrook Hospice.
