Kristie Pennington (47) of Austin, TX passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and family in Nolensville, TN on November 15, 2020. Being a stand-up comedian for years, Kristie always said, she knew that there would be sadness when she passed, but wanted more laughter shared than tears shed. We know that she is making everyone laugh in heaven with her amazing wit but still will miss her dearly.

Kristie was selfless, funny, kind, thoughtful, adventurous, brave, fierce, creative, talented, and the best friend I had the honor of having. We were girl scout leaders, friends, hiking buddies and a huge part of each other's support system When she learned she had brain cancer, her first thoughts were that she couldn’t imagine a child going the cancer treatments, so she started painting angels that she sold to make money for St. Jude Hospital. She was the most amazing friend I’ve ever had, and all who knew her would say it was an honor. From film producer, stand up comedian, mother, friend, singer, wanna be rapper, actor, voiceover actor, Girl Scout leader, writer, her talents and love she poured into all things will always be remembered. Fly high my beautiful friend. You will be remembered always! xoxoxo

Noel, Penelope and Parker - Kristie was one of my oldest friends and a truly magnificent person. She always made me laugh and we had such fun times and shenanigans. She will always be so special to me and I will miss her. I am so very sorry and want to give you all my deepest condolences.

Noel and girls, we are thinking of you during this very difficult time. Kristie was a bright spot in our lives when we lived on Delaware Drive. Praying for peace for all of you.

We were very fortunate to have Kristie for a niece and to be part of our lives. What a pleasure it was to watch her grow up. We remember her playing with our sons, at her stand-up comedy shows, developing into a very gifted and talented young lady, her wedding and being such a wonderful mother to two beautiful daughters.
We feel blessed that we got to visit with her on her last trip to Texas. We were able to share a very special family dinner with her and the girls at the assisted living home with her Grandma and Grandpa Weigelt.
She found a very special place in our lives and now a permanent part of our memories - ones that we will always cherish.
The Lord has a great soul in His House!!
