A proud graduate of Hume-Fogg Technical High School, Kenny went on to dedicate over four decades to the printing industry, working 41 years with Baird-Ward and Arcata Graphics-Quebecor. His strong work ethic and commitment were hallmarks of his professional life.
On November 19, 1960, Kenny married, Joyce M. Akins, in their hometown of Nashville. Together, they shared a marriage filled with love, laughter, and adventure. One of their greatest joys was riding their Gold Wing motorcycle together, creating cherished memories on the open road.
Kenny is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 65 years, Joyce Houchin; his daughter, Meredith Houchin Cadena (Phillips); grandchildren, Kenley Cadena, Cinjen Cadena, and Sasha Cadena; great-grandson, Judah Abernathy; sister, Marlene Butts; and son-in-law, Franklin Phillips. He was preceded in death by his cherished Yorkie, Katie Belle, who held a special place in his heart.
A special thank you to his lifelong friends, Bert and Judy Noll, for their enduring friendship, love, and support throughout the years.
A committal service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 11:00am at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln., Nashville, Tennessee 37204.
