

Mrs. Margaret Lucille Albin passed away early Monday morning, November 29, 2021 in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 92. She was predeceased by her father, Joel Gannon, her mother Ladye Love Gannon, her siblings Waymon Gannon, Buford Gannon, Kathleen Gannon, Robert Gannon, and Geraldine Gannon.
Margaret was born in Nashville, TN. She attended Hume Fogg High School, from which she was recruited by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), who employed her. She simultaneously attended George Washington University where she studied, among other things, accounting. Besides accounting, she was responsible for interviewing potential FBI agents, and worked directly for J. Edgar Hoover. After studying at the University of Louisville, she married William Sebree, an accountant, and they had three children. The family moved to Nashville, TN where she was hired by former Governor Hill McAllister to work for the Nashville U.S. Bankruptcy Court. Later, the Honorable Judge John M. Bates appointed her to chief clerk of Bankruptcy Court for Middle District of Tennessee. After a long career at Bankruptcy Court, Margaret retired. She returned to work for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as Chief of Administrative Section and later as paralegal for the Office of Counsel for the Nashville District. Margaret’s main desire in life was to see her family thrive as she always tried to help others.
Margaret is survived by her sister Patricia Ann Vaca; her children Susan Levitt and her husband Larry; Bruce Sebree and Michael Sebree and his wife Dana; her grandchildren Cristina Smith and her husband Ryan Smith; Mario Sebree and wife Julie Sebree; Stephanie Sebree and Jonathan Levitt; her great grandchild Liam Smith.
