

Margaret was born in Hempstead, New York on June 6, 1931. She graduated from Farmingville High School in 1949 and later received her Associate’s Degree from Suffolk Community College in 1970.
She was united in marriage to Harold Wehrhagen on January 24, 1953, in Medford, New York. Harold preceded her in death in 2010.
Margaret dedicated her career to caring for others as a Registered Nurse, serving at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, New York and throughout Suffolk County.
In her free time, Margaret enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking, and more recently playing Rummikub with her friends. She cherished time spent with family and friends and will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and caring spirit.
She is survived by her children, Harold Wehrhagen, Jr. (Mary Kate) and Rosemarie Naeser (Timothy); her grandchildren, Erik Wehrhagen, William Naeser (Kaitlynn), and Matthew Naeser; and her great-grandchild, Harvey.
There will be a short service Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd., Calverton, NY 11933
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Margaret’s memory to the MYSN Hospice Fund, Willowbrook Hospice, 235 Noah Drive, Suite 300, Franklin, TN 37064.
