It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael DiTraglia on March 27, 2025 at the age of 67. Michael was born on December 12, 1957 to Francesco and Alessandra DiTraglia in Bohemia, NY. He is survived by his beloved family: children Gabriella and Roman; aunt Clara; sisters Lena, Sharon, and MaryAnn; brother-in-law Steven; as well as nephews and nieces Frank, Emmanuel, Steven, Sandra, and LeighAnn.
Michael was a true Renaissance man: a poet, a songwriter, and a philosopher. He was full of wit and his sense of humor endured even through his lengthy illness. Michael loved two things above all else: his children and baseball. In fact, he passed away on opening day of the 2025 MLB season.
Michael was a true light in the world. He is made special not by what he did, but by who he was. He genuinely loved others and was deeply loved by all who knew him. His memory lives in each of us and he will never be forgotten.
