He is survived by his wife, Wanda C. Thompson; sons, Brooke (Kristen) and Stuart (Beth); step-sons, Mitch (Bonnie) and Robert; five grandchildren; and one brother.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and graduated from both the University of Kentucky and Vanderbilt Law School. He was a retired attorney, having practiced law in Nashville for 40 years. He served as the attorney for the TN Highway Patrol prior to going in to private practice.
A memorial service will be held at two o' clock in the afternoon on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Brentwood Roesch-Patton Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior. A reception will follow the memorial service.
Memorials can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Nashville Humane Society.
