Nancy, Debbie and I have been friends/sisters for 64 years. We grew up together, with our parents being each other's 2nd Mom and Dad. I, always, considered her my role model as a Big Sis! Having a positive attitude in all situations is something I admire. You could not have a conversation with Nancy that she didn't mention her gratitude for God's blessings in her life. A woman of faith is how she lived her life. Nancy was devoted to her work, especially giving her focus to serve her clients in the best manner. I will miss my Sis! Nancy would want our prayers and concern to go to her sister, Debbie. I am grateful for all of our conversations over dinners; cheers at concerts; and nightly texts. I will miss her infectious smile!

I had the opportunity and pleasure of working with Nancy at SunTrust. But we were more than teammates. She was my friend. She was like family to me. And I've never known anyone else as client-focused. Nancy cared deeply about her clients, and they will miss her greatly. But that was Nancy. A builder of caring relationships in all areas of her life - not just at work. The picture here is Nancy and me at the retirement party she put together for me in October last year. Just one of the many acts of kindness she extended to me over the years. I will miss Nancy Griffin. I'm so grateful to have known her. I'm a better person because Nancy touched my life.

I worked directly with Nancy at SunTrust and it was 2 of the most fun years of my professional career. For the past 13 years she has been my sales rep and friend, because Nancy was a friend to all who came into contact with her. I called her the Velvet Hammer, because she always went to bat internally to get things done for our clients, but she pushed in such a kind, southern-belle way that whoever we were "hammering" didn't feel the pain! Nancy taught me so much about how to treat people, and how to be a team player, and how there is always a solution for every problem. During our business travels, we always had wonderful talks about God and our faith, and it was so obvious by how she treated everyone that she was a woman of deep personal faith and integrity. I will miss her giggle, her infectious smile, and her fun-loving attitude. She made a mark in my life and will always be remembered and loved. My sincere sympathy to you, Debbie, as she talked about you so often and loved you so much - i know that you will miss such a sweet, special sister and best friend.

I spent nearly 15 years working with Nancy at SunTrust where we worked closely and made dozens of client calls together; she was the kindnest , warmest person I've ever met; she was also tenacious, hardworking and a great teamate. I have a lot of great memories of her, including my last client meeting with Nancy the week of the solar eclipse in Nashville when afterwards we watched the eclipse together outside of the SunTrust office.
