

He will be remembered as a kind hearted and gentle man, brilliant engineer, accomplished author, musician and artist.
All who had the privilege of knowing him, whether personally or professionally, salute a man of great intelligence and wisdom.
Ruben was an Engineering Fellow at Square D Co., Smyrna, Tennessee. He was the author and coauthor of several technical and scientific books and holds 15 U.S. patents on circuit breakers and associated technologies. A Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and a member of the National Electrical Manufacturers’ Association. Ruben received his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from The Pennsylvania State University, University Park.
Son of deceased Guillermo U. Garzon and Emma Bixby, he is leaving in grief his beloved wife Maggi Garzon, the woman who gave him light and happiness until his very last breath and their two children, Gigi Elizabeth Garzon, Mitzi Garzon Kent (Sean Kent); his four grandchildren, Natalie Dommers, Shea Kent, Seth Kent and Erik Dommers; his brother, Luis Augustin Rosero; his sisters, Consuelo (Patricio) Garcia, Lupe (Jorge) Roman and many close friends, relatives, and business colleagues.
According to his final wishes, his Memorial Service will be held at Brentwood Roesch Patton Funeral Home on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at 10 o’clock in the morning with a reception to follow at the funeral home.
