Stephanie Hart Murphy

Stephanie Hart Murphy, 58, passed away on August 18, 2026 after a battle with cancer.

Born in Huntsville, Alabama, on January 19, 1968, Stephanie was the daughter of Renate and Frank Hart. She graduated from Grissom High School in 1986 before attending Auburn University, where she earned a Bachelor of Business Management and began a lifelong love for Auburn that never faded.

Stephanie married Tyler Murphy on February 17, 1996, in Huntsville. Together they raised their three children, Brooke, Ryan, and Megan, and built a life filled with family, friends, travel, sporting events, Auburn football, and countless trips to the beach.

The beach held a particularly special place in Stephanie’s heart. She loved the time spent there with family and friends—the trips, the conversations, and the memories that came from simply being together. She was also an avid reader, loved dogs, and never lost her enthusiasm for her Auburn Tigers.

Above all, Stephanie treasured the people in her life. She was enormously proud of Brooke, Ryan, and Megan and loved watching each of them grow into the people they have become. Her family and her friendships were the constants in her life, and she leaves behind many years of memories that will continue to be shared by those who knew her best.

Stephanie is survived by her children, Brooke, Ryan, and Megan Murphy; her mother, Renate Hart; her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Patrick Cushman; and her nephew and niece, Jack Cushman and Sarah Cushman.

Her husband, Tyler Murphy, and her father, Frank Hart, passed away before her.

A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held at Brentwood Roesch Patton Funeral Home, 9010 Church Street East, Brentwood, Tennessee, on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
