
Mr. Hunter was born in Nashville, TN, on February 15, 1919, the son of the late Virgil S. Hunter and Maria Ayers Hunter. He served in the United States Navy and retired from L& N (CSX) Railroad after forty-six years of service. Mr. Hunter was a member of the Elks Lodge. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hunter was preceded in death by the love of his life, Mildred Tucker Hunter.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas R. Hunter, Jr. (Connie) and Paul Joseph Hunter, Sr. (Charlene); daughter, Cathy Hunter; grandchildren, Thomas R. Hunter, III (Alison), Shannon Lynn Edmondson (Nathan), Patrick Ryan Hunter (Misty), Paul Joseph Hunter, Jr. (Amy) and J. Colby Hunter; great-grandchildren, Braden Edmondson, Sydney Edmondson, Jade Hunter, Noah Hunter, Lindy Hunter, Sophia Hunter, Madelyn Hunter, Hayden Hunter, and Colton Hunter.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, October 5, 2015, at eleven o’clock in the morning, Brentwood Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Sunday from four o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening and Monday from ten o’clock until the service, Brentwood Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
