

With heavy hearts, the family of Todd Alan Skiles, 58, of Franklin, Tennessee, announces his passing at his home on November 3, 2025. He was born on May 25, 1967, in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, and was a longtime resident of Olive Branch, Mississippi.
Todd graduated from Memphis Preparatory School and attended the University of Mississippi. He worked for many years with Northwest Airlines in both Memphis, Tennessee, and Detroit, Michigan. Todd took great pride in his work and was known for his strong knowledge of aircraft operations and his dependable presence on the ramp. After his time with Northwest, Todd spent several years working in the jewelry business for a master jeweler in the Detroit area who greatly valued his skill and reliability. Todd had a keen eye for detail and was a talented salesman. He traveled several times a year to jewelry shows throughout the Midwest and Northeast.
A lifelong sports fan, Todd loved cheering for Ole Miss and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He avidly enjoyed NASCAR and Formula 1 racing, and in recent years became an enthusiastic follower of Manchester City and the Premier League. Todd was an accomplished outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years. A devoted reader, he especially enjoyed the works of his favorite author, Lee Child.
Todd had a gentle spirit and a warm, easygoing nature that made people feel comfortable around him. He was thoughtful and introspective, with a sense of humor that shone through in his conversations. His friends and family will remember his kindness, wit, and genuine love for the simple pleasures in life. Todd was deeply loved, and his passing has left his family and friends heartbroken. He will be profoundly missed.
Todd was preceded in death by his parents, Kathleen and David Skiles of Olive Branch, Mississippi. He is survived by his sons, Gibson Skiles of Senatobia, Mississippi, and Gilder Skiles of Oxford, Mississippi, and their loving mother, Rivers; his brother, Jon Skiles of Franklin, Tennessee; and his nieces, Sara Skiles of Mount Airy, Maryland, and Kelli Skiles of Nashville, Tennessee. In his later years, Todd faced health challenges with strength and grace, and his beloved dog, Boone, was his constant companion and source of comfort.
A celebration of life gathering will be held in Olive Branch, Mississippi, at a later date, with details to be shared with family and friends once finalized. Those wishing to honor Todd’s memory may consider making a donation to the American Diabetes Association or to a local animal shelter.
