David and I were high school and college classmates. His 1957 senior yearbook motto, "Be careful how you live your life; you may be the only Bible some will ever have," epitomizes the quality of his character and integrity. Through his distinguished career in education David is listed as an Outstanding Educator of America. My condolences to his family.

During my four years at Belmont (1980-1984) both my roommate and I were able to work on campus for Dr. Driskill and I have such fond memories! My hometown is only 15 miles from Elkton KY so we had plenty to talk about! We were treated to many Cracker Barrel trips for cobbler, dinner at their home and even stayed for summer term one year to take his Physics class 😊 Sending prayers to the family from Russellville KY.

Dr. Driskill was my Physics professor 1978-1982. He was such a wonderful person, professor, and role model. I fondly remember our classes, labs, and the group trip to Oak Ridge. I often cite him in my lectures. Thoughts and prayers are with the family. I know you must miss him dearly!

I had the honor of sharing many meals with the Driskills since my father moved to the same assisted living. What a wonderful man.
