He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a fleet maintenance manager for a waste disposal company. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. Survived by his wife of 41 years: Debra Nixon; son and daughter-in-law: Andrew and Amy Nixon; 3 grandchildren, all of Brooksville, FL. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery at a later date.
