Born in the Bronx, NY on May 16, 1939, she was the cherished daughter of the late Charles and Alice Bissinger. Alice spent many dedicated years working for the County of Sullivan, NY, before later settling in Florida.
For 58 beautiful years, Alice was married to the love of her life, Hugh Delaney Sr., who preceded her in death. Together, they built a life centered around devotion to family and community. Alice found great joy in the simple pleasures of life—she loved swimming, playing bingo, and participating in the many activities at Cloverleaf Park, where she leaves behind many dear friends. Above all, Alice’s greatest passion was her family, and she poured endless love into her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
In addition to her husband and parents, Alice was predeceased by her stepson, Craig Delaney.
She is survived by her devoted children: Hugh Delaney Jr. (Terry), Lynn Delaney-Buley (Gary), and Bryan Delaney (Eileen); her stepsons, Allen Delaney and Donald Delaney (Debbie), and their families; and her special friend Charles Moran. Her legacy of love lives on through her six adored grandchildren: Kevin Delaney, Allyson DiMilia (Peter), Amber Donovan (David), Autumn Buley, Austin Delaney, and Brooke Delaney; as well as her five precious great-grandchildren: Blake, Rocco, Chase, Natalie, and Cali.
No formal services are scheduled at this time. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
