Born September 17, 1942, she came to the area 24 years ago from Islip Terrace, New York. She had worked as a bank teller and was a parishioner and Eucharistic Minister of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert Apel Sr.; sons and daughter-in-law, Robert & Heather Apel of Hudson, Florida and Gabriel Apel of Safety Harbor, Florida; sister and brother-in-law, Marie & Roy Esposito of Islip Terrace, New York.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:30am-12:30pm, Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel. A Funeral Mass will follow at 1:00pm at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
