Barnell Carter

CARTER, Barnell, age 79, died Thursday, August 27, 2015 at her home. She was born in Miami, FL and came to the area 46 years ago. She retired from the  Hernando County School System and was a country girl who loved to fish. She was also a former cashier with Pick Quick Food Stores. Predeceased by her parents, daughter, Lisa and her brothers and sisters. She is survived by husband: John of Brooksville, FL; sons and daughters-in-law:  Michael and Brenda Carter of Homosassa, FL; James and Susan Carter of Masaryktown, FL;  daughters:  Barbara Brown and Patricia Naylor, both of Brooksville, FL; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be from 3-5pm, Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Gulf Ridge Park Baptist Church where funeral services will begin at 5:00pm with Dr. Michael Pope officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HPH Hospice or Gulf Ridge Park Baptist Church, 20200 Manecke Road, Brooksville, FL 34601.
