Beatrice Coutu

COUTU, Beatrice Lambert age 88 of Spring Hill, FL died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2003. She was born in West Warwick, RI on Nov. 20, 1914. She and her husband moved to Spring Hill in 1986 and she maintained her home until Dec. 2001 at which time she moved in to the Crown Pointe Assisted Living Facility of Spring Hill. She was predeceased, in 1995, by her husband of 60 years, Lionel B. Coutu. Beatrice had been employed by Providence Cleaners and Barker-Chadsey in Johnston, RI before retiring and she was a member of the Hernando Beach Club.Survivors include her daughter: Suzanne Landy of Spring Hill; son: Joel Coutu of Warwick, RI; 9 Grandchildren: Jocelyn Kitts, TN, Jessica Pagliarini, RI, Jennifer Burton, ME, Jeffrey Butler, RI, Gary Coutu, Michael Caron, FL, Michael Landy, RI, Thomas Landy, RI and David Landy, MA. 23 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jo-Ann Butler, grandson, Joel Lanoie-Coutu and great grandson Damian Thomas.Memorial Services will be conducted 2:00pm, Fri., Oct. 24, 2003 at the Merritt Funeral Home, 4095 Mariner Blvd., Spring Hill.
