He was born October 22, 1942 in Bellevue, Pennsylvania and came to the area 25 years ago from East Lansing, Michigan. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran and a manager of manufacturing in the medical equipment industry. He was a lifetime member of the Marine Corps League #708 and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He loved coaching soccer in Michigan and carried the torch for 2000 Olympics in Daytona Beach, Florida.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Claire Kiska. He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Kathy "Maze" Barnhart; son: Craig Barnhart of Lake Tahoe, Nevada; daughter and son-in-law: Renee and Steve McNutt of Monclova, Ohio; two grandchildren: Kelly and Grace McNutt.
