Betty Hunnington

She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Hunnington Sr.; her parents, Johnny and Betty Posey; her sister, Annette Martin; and her brothers-in-law, Frank McDaniels and Robert

Martin.

She is survived by her children, Betty Chase (Aaron), Michael Hunnington Jr. (Dawn), and Eva Gonzalez (Alex); her grandchildren, Kendal Chase, Donna Griffis (Deven), Krystallia Beaulieu (Ryan), Kyle Hunnington, Keagan Chase and Leilah McDaniels; her great-granddaughters, Karmella Griffis and Kaylanna Chase; her sisters, Mary Martin, Johnnie McDaniels, and Julie Purdue; and many nieces and nephews.

Betty graduated from Pasco Comprehensive High School with a diploma and a Cosmetology license. She married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Michael Hunnington Sr. Together they served their country in the United States Air Force and raised three children. Throughout her life, Betty always helped and served all people. She taught preschool, worked at post office and the px on base. She served as a manager at Wendy's and Walmart. Her most important service was that of her church family. She was a member of Hillside Church in Brooksville where she was always ready to serve and spread the gospel.

Betty will forever be in our hearts and memories.

Services will be held on Thursday, August 6th, 2026 at 6:30pm at Hillside Church in Brooksville, FL.
