With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bobby Boatright, who departed this life on July 3, 2026, in Brooksville, Florida, where he made his home with his beloved wife, Torina. Born on July 22, 1960, in Appalachia, Virginia, Bobby lived a life defined by love, hard work, loyalty, and kindness.
Bobby was the devoted husband of Torina Boatright, whose love and partnership were the center of his life. He was a proud and loving father to Stephanie DeHart (Ben), Brianna Ordonez (Cesar), and Nick Boatright (Angel). His greatest joy was being "Papa" to his five cherished grandchildren: Justin DeHart, Alison Boatright, Railyn Boatright, Kinley Boatright, and Iliana Ordonez. Nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with his family, creating memories that they will treasure forever.
A dedicated construction worker throughout his career, Bobby took immense pride in providing for those he loved. He was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Outside of work, Bobby found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing in quiet waters, hunting in the outdoors, spending time around horses, and sharing laughs with family and friends. One of his favorite pastimes was singing karaoke, where his smile, laughter, and unmistakable spirit lit up every room. Whether he was telling stories, making people laugh, or simply enjoying the company of those around him, Bobby had a way of making everyone feel like family.
To know Bobby was to know a man with a generous heart, unwavering loyalty, and a genuine love for people. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose kindness and compassion touched countless lives. His legacy will live on through the family he adored and the many lives he impacted.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Bobby's love, strength, and laughter will remain with us always. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished beyond eternity.
"Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always watching out for us.”
A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00-11:00am on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Merritt Funeral Home Brooksville (2 South Lemon Avenue, Brooksville, FL 34601), where Funeral Services begin at 11:00am, with Pastor David Hope officiating.
