Bryan Wever

Bryan Wever, 53, of Brooksville, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026, surrounded by his children and best friend. He will be remembered for his intelligence, quiet strength, generosity, determination, and respect for everyone he met.

A proud native of Brooksville, Bryan volunteered with his dad at the local baseball fields while growing up. On Saturdays, he mowed the fields and raked the clay. He also worked concessions at Ernie Wever Park, the county park named after his father for his years of volunteer service in the community. Those early experiences helped launch a baseball journey that began when he could hold a bat and continued through college, often surprising others with his natural athleticism.

Bryan attended Hernando High School and graduated from the University of Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering.

Demonstrating his leadership and drive early in high school, his beloved teacher, Mr. Brooks, created an engineering design class specifically for him. As a high school student, Bryan designed building layouts for Hernando County Schools and county buildings.

Bryan was also a founder and President of the University of Florida International Motorsports Club (IMC). IMC was the university's first official Registered Student Organization (RSO) car club and brought structure to Thursday nights for car enthusiasts in Gainesville. He raced autocross on air strips in a fully modified black Honda Prelude that he designed.

Throughout his life, Bryan approached his career and personal pursuits with unwavering dedication and curiosity. He was a master of many skills, always eager to challenge himself.

Among all his passions, the automotive world gave Bryan great joy. He was a lifelong enthusiast of high-performance vehicles with expertise in import cars. For Bryan, cars were extensions of engineering, art, and community.

Music and perfect sound were another cherished outlet for Bryan. An avid collector of vinyl records, he loved dropping the needle on music from several genres. His first love was classic rock and heavy metal, frequently blasting Metallica, Slayer, and AC/DC, and sharing that rich musical world with those closest to him.

When he wasn't designing cars or listening to music, Bryan could be found mountain biking with his corgi, Bennie, riding in a backpack in Croom Forest. He rode those trails with speed and precision, and it was tough for his kids to keep up with him.

Above all else, Bryan's heart belonged to his family and friends. He was a devoted, proud father and a loyal friend. He is lovingly survived by his daughter, Isabel, and her husband, Matthew; his adopted daughter, Emily; his half-sister, Maureen, and her husband, Matthew; and his half-brother, Kevin, and his wife, Donna.

In a moment of sacred peace, Bryan left this earth to be reunited in heaven with his deeply cherished younger daughter, Hannah, whose birthday was two days later and who passed in September 2024.

While our hearts are heavy with grief here on earth, and we miss them endlessly, we take comfort in knowing that Bryan and Hannah are together again, pain-free, side-by-side, driving incredible cars, spinning their favorite music, and planning their next trick to play on someone.

Bryan was also preceded in death by his parents, Laura and Ernie Wever.

Bryan's brilliance, quiet strength, quick wit, dry humor, and unconditional love will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Though he is no longer with us in body, his legacy endures in the cars he built, the trails he forged in the woods, the lessons he taught, the memories he created, and the love he left behind in the hearts of all who knew him.
