He was born September 28, 1943 in Brooksville, Florida and has been a lifelong resident. He was a law enforcement dispatcher for the Florida Highway Patrol and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife: Cheryl; stepsons: Michael Thomas, Ted Thomas, and Steve Thomas of Brooksville, Florida; stepdaughters: Toni Ellis of Buford, South Carolina and Tammie Ellis of Bonifay, Florida; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
