Captain Scott M. Bierwiler

BIERWILER, Capt. Scott M., age 42 of Spring Hill died Thurs., Feb. 19, 2009 in the line of duty. Born in Cold Spring, NY he came to this area 34 years ago from Bath, NY. He was a 23 year veteran of the Hernando County Sheriffs Office in Brooksville, he received the Hernando County Sheriffs Office Medal of Valor, The Hernando County Ribbon of Commendation, the New Jersey State Medal of Valor, The Meritorious Service Award from Bergen County Prosecutors Office, The Combat Cross and was a member of the New Jersey State Honor Legion and St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church. He is pre-deceased by his father: Frank W. Bierwiler. Survivors include his wife: Angela; son: Scott Bierwiler of Spring Hill; daughters: Kayla and Kiley Bierwiler of Spring Hill; mother: Maureen Bierwiler of Spring Hill; brother: Frank W. Bierwiler of Spring Hill and sister: Kelly Misener of Spring Hill. Visitation for friends will be 2-4pm and 6-8pm Mon., Feb. 23 and Tues., Feb. 24, 2009 at St. Theresa Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be 12:30pm Wed., Feb. 25, 2009 with Fr. James McAteer officiating. Burial will follow at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens, Spring Hill. In lieu of flowers donations may be payable to: Fraternal Order of Police, The Capt. Scott M.
