

Charlotte was born and raised in Spring Lake, Florida. She was a member of the Brooksville Junior Service League and graduated from Pasco-Hernando Community College. She retired from SunTrust Bank and served on WREC Cares Board of Directors from 1993-2017.
Charlotte was a life time member of Spring Lake United Methodist Church where she served on many committees, but her passion was music ministry. She played the organ, piano and led the choir in many cantatas. She enjoyed reminiscing about the family homestead, crocheting, reading and most of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Charlotte is survived by her three sons, Dale Lee (Nery) of Lake City, David Lee (Pam) of Spring Lake, and Shelton Lee (Julie) of Orlando; four grandchildren, Allison Lee Coppedge (Craig), Derick Lee, Jordan Lee Wohlleber (Ben) and Jarrod Lee (Chelsea); nine great-grandchildren, Jackson Coppedge, Abby Coppedge, Hallie Coppedge, Charlotte Coppedge, Cataleya Lee, Camellia Lee, Griffen Wohlleber, Cade Lee and Riley Wohlleber. Charlotte is predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Doyle Allison Lee; her parents, Elmore and Ruth Wernicke; and two sisters, Jane Wernicke Patterson and Mary Sue Wernicke Clay.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held at Spring Lake United Methodist Church at 1:00pm, Sunday, October 29, 2023, where Funeral Services begin at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made “In Memory of Charlotte Lee” to WREC Cares, Attn: Alysia Lorenzo, 14651 21st Street, Dade City, FL 33523.
