Clement Joseph Johnson Jr.

He was born August 24, 1947 in New York City, New York and came to Brooksville 26 years ago from Avon, Connecticut.  He worked as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for banking and the Florida Bar Association where he retired after 14 years.  He was a parishioner of St. Anthony the Abbot Catholic Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clement Sr. and Charlotte (Ickrath) Johnson; sister, Bernadette Lee; and brother, John Johnson.  He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Joan E. Johnson; his son and daughter-in-law, Clement J. III & Catherine Johnson of Clarendon Hills, Illinois; his daughter and son-in-law, Joan & Larry Benes of Brooksville, Florida; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert & Katie Johnson of Tariffville, Connecticut, Stephen Johnson of Brooksville, Florida, and Tim & Barbara Johnson of Breezy Point, New York; grandchildren, Rachel Benes, Ava Johnson, and Clement "CJ" J. Johnson IV.  

A Gathering for family and friends will be held from 6:00-8:00pm, Friday, May 21, 2021 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel.  A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:30am, Saturday, May 22, 2021 at St. Anthony the Abbot Catholic Church, with Reverend Paul Pecchie officiating.
