Curtis B. Cannon

He was born February 16, 1946 in Georgia and came to this area 61 years ago.  He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, was the owner and operator of Industrial Welding and Maintenance, Inc. for 35 years before retirement and was of the Baptist faith. 

He is preceded in death by his parents: Luther & Monique Cannon; and brothers: Gordon Cannon and Mark Cannon.  He is survived by his wife, Vera Cannon; daughters and son-in-law: Misty Nelson of Brooksville, Florida and Michelle & Danny Driver of Gainesville, Florida; brother: Donald Cannon of Brooksville, Florida; sisters and brothers-in-law: Phyllis & Solon Brown of Inverness, Florida and Judy & Henry Davis of Edgewater, Florida; grandchildren: Hunter, Nathaniel, Jodie and Kailey. 

Visitation for family and friends will take place from 5:00-7:00pm, Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, where Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm, Monday, October 1, 2018, with Pastor David Beckham officiating.  Burial will follow at Brooksville Cemetery.
