Dawn Marion Smith

SMITH, Dawn M., age 90, of Brooksville, FL died Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at her home. She was born in DeRuyter, NY and came to the area 32 years ago from Sulphur Springs, TX. She retired after 30 years as an administrative assistant with General Electric in Syracuse, NY. She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Ridge Manor. She loved animals, gardening and was a nature lover. She was always the ultimate nurturer/caregiver who loved taking care of her family and their family homebuilding business. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law: Kathleen Ellis and Bob Price of San Diego, CA; Debra and Fred Johnson of Ridge Manor, FL; 2 grandchildren: Kristin Miller of Ridge Manor, FL; Kimberly and Michael Jabbari; 1 great-grandson: Connor Jabbari, all of Carlsbad, CA. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00am, Monday, October 22, 2012 at Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society.
