Diana J. Rodriguez

RODRIGUEZ, Diana J., age 70 of Brooksville, died Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Heartland of Brooksville.  She came here 40 years ago from her native, Puerto Rico.  She was a former high school teacher and began working at Roger’s Christmas House in Brooksville during the 1970’s, ultimately becoming co-owner, along with her husband, George in 2008.   She was a member of the Brooksville Women’s Club, Brooksville Mural Society and St. Anthony Catholic Church.  She loved gardening and interior design.  She is survived by her husband, George; brothers & sisters-in-law:  Harold & Kathie Stolberg of Arlington, VA; Robert & Glorisa Canino/Stolberg and Roland Stolberg, all of San Juan, PR; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Providencia Torres and Aurelio Torres; sister-in-law: Nelda Bremmer; cousin: Marisel Ortiz Hernandes and family; and nieces and nephews.  Visitation for friends will be 3 – 5pm, Sunday, September 2, 2012 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel.  A memorial mass will be celebrated 10:00am, Monday, September 3, 2012 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Craig Morley officiating.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to HPH Hospice or St. Anthony Catholic Church.
