I have learned a lot from Don on how to treat other people. He always greeted me  with a big smile. He was one of the God's special people that always made others feel welcome and special. He was a great man and will not be forgotten anytime soon. He touched a lot of peoples lives. I was proud to call him my friend. RIP

Our paths crossed many time throughout the 45+ years we've known Don and his family. With his sense of humor and sparkling personality, we immediately became friends when he was assigned to Beale AFB, CA in the early 70s. We transferred to Offutt AFB, NE in the 80s and shortly Don and family were also  transferred to Offutt. Our friendship grew stronger as his children added to our lives.  Again, we all were reunited in the 90s when we were assigned to the Pentagon, Wash DC. As fate had it, Don and family were  also  transferred to Wash DC. We were united again in Oct 2015 when we had the honor to attend his daughter's (Jennifer) wedding. How do you say goodbye to a friendship that spans more than 4 decades? You don't, the love and memories will live on forever. Rest in peace Don and know our lives were enriched having shared your friendship.

What an awesome man, friend and coworker. Don and I shuffled a lot of papers back and forth over the years together. In my heart he will be greatly missed. He always made time to share his knowledge with others. He was loved and respected by all. To his family I pray that God will comfort you all through this time of Great Loss.

I knew Donald as Donnie we grew up together in Wilson from 3 rd grade thru high school , he was always a gentle peacemaker, always there to help if anyone needed a hand even as a child, I have always had so much respect for him, we were blessed with his presence last year at a reunion in Wilson, you will be missed RSP special friend.

I used to see Marvin in Wilson, but I can't remember ever meeting Donnie.After retiring from the military, I taught math to two or three of Marvin's grandchildren.
