Dorothy Hines

HINES, Dorothy Belle age 87 of Spring Hill, FL died Sunday, January 16, 2005. A former resident of Binghamton, New York, she lived in Florida for 20 years.Dorothy was employed at Link Aviation when she retired at a young age to raise her family. She later worked for the Chenango Valley High School and was very active in the Community Baptist Church of Port Dickinson, NY, the Binghamton Civic Club and the Garden Club. Upon retiring to Florida with her husband Gordon, she became an active member of the Mariner Methodist Church. Dorothy's love of flowers was matched by her love of playing Bridge and Pinochle.Dorothy was pre-deceased by her husband of 57 years, Gordon Hines, and is Survived by her daughters Susan Skelton (Richard) of Virginia Beach, Carol Ferranti of Fort Worth, TX and Helen Farrell (Edward) of Albany, NY; brothers Raymond and Edward, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many dear friends in New York and Florida and will be remembered for her kindness toward others.A funeral will be held in Florida Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at the Mariner United Methodist Church, Spring Hill, FL.
