Dorothy Kennedy

KENNEDY, Dorothy Bishop, age 90, of Brooksville, FL died June 30, 2010 at home. She was born in Dowling Park, FL on January 25, 1920, daughter of the late Judge Albert Clay Johnson & Bertie Tyson Sisk of Live Oak, FL. She was a member of Back to the Faith Church of God. Preceded in death by her husband: C. J. Kennedy, 2 sons: Roy Erle Bishop and James Erle Bishop, Jr., survivors include daughters: Dianne (Al) Royal; Sue (Jim) Filyaw;  Debbie (Johnny) Carter; Joan Bishop; Irene ( Andy) Ward; two sons: Pete (Renee) Bishop; James Scott Bishop,  Sr. 25 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be held 6-8pm Mon., July 5, 2010 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville, FL. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am, Tues., July 6, 2010 with Reverend Frank Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Lindsey Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations to Hernando-Pasco Hospice whom the family wishes to thank for their wonderful support and understanding.
