TURMEL, Dorothy P., age 75 of Brooksville (Brookridge) passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at her home. Born in Waterbury, CT she came to this area 28 years ago from Wolcott, CT. She was an office clerk for Register Chevrolet and Catholic by faith. Survivors include her husband: Dick; son: Richard J. Turmel of Wilmington, NC; daughters: Michelle LaPlante of Brooksville & Rachel Jean Harper of Port Townsend, WA; sister: Sharon Janiero of Naugatuck, CT; 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and canine companion: Charlene. A gathering of friends will be from 2-4pm Monday, January 7, 2013 at Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel where a memorial service will be conducted at 3pm.
